One of our clients made a rather clear observation the other day about what it means to want to work with Xopus. They have had experiences with installing, implementing and working with other software, and we recently showed them what it would entail if they would want to work with Xopus instead.
The largest XML conference in the world, XML 2007, takes place from December 3rd until December 5th. This years theme is "XML in Practice".
Purpose specific user interfaces are the solution to the biggest challenge confronting structured content: creating it. Let me explain why.
At ECMPlaza 2007 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Xopus sponsored a presentation by Lawrence Schapira from LexisNexis Butterworths and myself titled "About the Creation of Useful Information". Lawrence described how LexisNexis Butterworths processes legal content from a verbatim judgement of a civil court case to a rich semantic xml digest which is then published to several online and printed publications.
For your conference agenda: Xopus is sponsor of both ECMPlaza 2007 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and CMF 2007 in Aarhus, Denmark.
We've updated the site with a new look, and some new ways to access all the information that is on the site. We were beginning to feel that a lot of the documentation, pages filled with best practices, information about XML, HTML, XSD and more were a bit lost deep down in the back-pages of the site.
I am proud to announce that version 3.2 of the Xopus browser based xml editor is now available to try online or download.
