CBSE calls for applications for CSS scholarships for college and university students
Applicants can visit the portal to apply for a new scholarship and also for the renewal of existing scholarships. Apply by November 30.
CBSE invites applications for CSS scholarship
NEW DELHI: The Central Council for Secondary Education (CBSE) solicited applications for the Central Sector Scholarship Program (CSSS) from college and university students.
The online application for the CSSS is available for the year 2021 on the national scholarship portal (NSP), www.scholarships.gov.in. Applicants can renew their scholarship on the portal, the first renewal for the year 2020, the second for 2019, the 3rd for 2018 and the 4th for 2017 is also available on the portal. Applicants can visit the portal to apply for a new scholarship and also for the renewal of existing scholarships.
The deadline for submitting an online application form for a new scholarship and renewal is November 30.

The Central Sector Scholarship Program for College and University Students has been implemented by the Ministry of Higher Education since 2008 with the aim of providing financial assistance to deserving students, to cover part of their daily expenses while pursuing higher education.
The scholarship rate is Rs. 10,000 per year for students continuing their studies for the first three years of college and university courses and Rs. 20,000 per year at postgraduate level. Students taking technical courses are paid Rs. 20,000, per year in 4th and 5th year. Applicants must apply for renewal scholarships on the NSP each following year. Students pursuing B.Tech, BE would get 4 scholarship installments only i.e. Rs. 10,000 per year for the first three years and Rs. 20,000 per year for the 4th year.

The CBSE advised applicants to submit their applications within the allotted time frame and to verify their applications online by the respective institutions. The verification of applications by the Institute will take place until December 15th. The nodal agents of the institutions were also asked to check the online application in time.
