Price Comparison Service Enables European Retailers to Acquire New Online Shoppers More Profitably – Marketing
Compare and contrast can lead to better UX and save retailers money on acquisition
With a new price comparison service launched by Klarna, retailers across Europe can now grow their customer base, increase their return on ad spend and drive traffic to high-intent consumers.
The Klarna price comparison page will also provide new opportunities for brands to reach consumers who browse with their products.
David Sandström, Marketing Director at Klarna, explains: âWith this new product, we are enabling retailers to list their Google Product Listings more efficiently. In practical terms, this means that we are giving retailers a more efficient and less expensive way to increase their customer base and convert highly relevant traffic from consumers looking for the products they want to buy, thus maximizing the return on merchant ad spend. As a growth partner for our retailers, we are excited to launch even more products and services to support their strategy in the near future.
The CSS program was created by Google to diversify search results from advertisements for a product offering (PLA). A CSS partner can facilitate the publication of a PLA on Google and then act as the link between the advertiser (the reseller) and Google. Unlike its competitors, Klarna Comparison Shopping Service offers PLA hosting for a small monthly flat fee. By switching to Klarna CSS, retailers can save up to 20% on their cost-per-click spend by avoiding the fees charged by Google CSS. Klarna will also list a retailer’s product inventory on the Klarna price comparison web pages to further improve the retailer’s product visibility and reach to its customers.
Klarna’s new price comparison service is available in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain , Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
