Ubisoft is giving away Rainbow Six Siege Showdown packs for free after confusing players
The Rainbow Six Siege Showdown event returned last week, and while it’s already almost over, you’re getting one final set of free stuff. Ubisoft is offering another Showdown Pack for gamers to apologize for a particularly confusing challenge, so if you wanted to tune in and experience the Wild West shootout now is the time.
“New Sheriff in Town” challenge requires players to get 10 Showdown kills in exchange for what looks as a Showdown pack. But it’s not a pack – rather, it’s a weapon charm that simply shares the appearance of a Showdown pack. The Rainbow Six subreddit has been filled with players this week wondering when their extra pack will appear.
“Due to the confusion over the Showdown Challenge and to thank you for a roaring return to Fort Truth, we will be giving players a free Showdown Pack later this week,” Ubisoft explains in a Tweeter. You will have until September 28 at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT / 6 p.m. BST to log in and qualify for the additional pack.
A nice gesture towards confused players, and a way to gently encourage people to log in for the event. It’s smart online game management, folks.
